******This is the BIG NEWS we've been waiting for, and it's GOOD!******

The Factory building in West Hollywood, Ca is now the first LGBT site located west of Chicago to be determined eligible for listing on the National Register of Historic Places!!

We heard this morning that the U.S. National Park Service officially determined The Factory building eligible for listing in the National Register of Historic Places for the Mitchell Camera Co (1929-1946) and Studio One (1974-1984) periods of significance.

This is a fantastic thing for the Motion Picture industry and its historians. And a HISTORIC and MONUMENTAL thing for the Gay and Lesbian community and its historians. We love West Hollywood and we are thrilled to bring this honor to our city! Thank you to everyone who supported the nomination!!

Brought to you by Kate and Krisy of the West Hollywood Heritage Project!
